BJP forms committee to mark 350th Martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji

Chandigarh, Oct 31 (UNI) The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a state-level committee to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with devotion and grandeur.
The committee will coordinate celebrations and events across towns in the state to honour the Guru’s supreme sacrifice. Former Patiala MP Maharani Preneet Kaur has been appointed as the Coordinator of the committee, while State General Secretary Parminder Singh Brar will serve as the In-Charge.
The panel also includes senior party leaders such as Dr. Subhash Sharma and Jatinder Mittal (State Vice Presidents), Manjit Singh Manna, Didar Singh Bhatti, S.S. Channi (State Spokesperson), and Shivbir Singh Rajan (former District President), who have been named Co-coordinators.
According to a BJP statement, the committee will oversee a series of religious and cultural programs aimed at spreading Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s message of courage, sacrifice, and communal harmony. The party also plans to organize seminars in educational institutions to inspire the youth and deepen public understanding of the Guru’s teachings and legacy. UNI NB AAB
