Chennai, May 22 (UNI) The IN-SPACe has invited Expression of Interest (EOI) from eligible private entities for PSLV Transfer of Technology.
The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) is a single-window autonomous agency under the Department of Space of the Government of India, for all space sector activities of private entities and plays an important role in boosting the private space sector economy in India.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said over the years, its four-stage Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) has established itself as a highly versatile and dependable workhorse, boasting a proven track record of successfully deploying numerous Indian and international customer payloads into various orbits.
Taking cognizance of the expanding global space economy and the strategic need to significantly scale up launch frequencies, IN-SPACe has taken the initiative for technology-transfer of PSLV for end-to-end realisation, operation and commercialisation of launch vehicle by a suitable private Indian industry.
This opportunity is aimed at capable Indian industries who have handled multi-disciplinary turn-key projects, and are keen on assimilating PSLV’s proven technology and offering commercial launch services to compete in the global medium-lift satellite launch market.
To ensure seamless technology absorption, infrastructural and hand-holding support will be provided by ISRO for a ‘Defined Period’ of 30 (thirty) months or until realization and launch of two PSLV vehicles by the selected party, whichever is earlier.
In this context, IN-SPACe invites private Indian Industries to participate in this ‘Expression of Interest (EOI) for PSLV Technology-Transfer to Indian Private Entity’.
It may be noted that the technology transfer of PSLV restricted only to private Indian entities fulfilling, inter-alia, the following eligibility criteria (complete list of eligibility conditions have been specified in the EOI Document).
It said a pre-EoI conference will be convened for Indian Industries to gain an overall familiarization with the PSLV, its systems/sub-systems realization, and associated technology-transfer process. This conference will enable participating industries to understand the work package and the overall scope of work, helping them align with the requirements outlined in the EoI.
The pre-EoI conference will be convened on June 17 at IN-SPACe Headquarters, Ahmedabad.
Interested industries must communicate their willingness to participate in the Pre-EoI conference by registering for the same and sharing the details of attending personnel. It is not mandatory for the industries to form a consortium prior to the pre-EOI conference.
A maximum of four (4) representatives from each registered industry will be permitted to participate.
