Jharkhand inducts 58 mini water tenders into fleet

Ranchi, Aug 6 (UNI) Jharkhand on Thursday inducted 58 mini water tenders equipped with mist technology into its Fire Service fleet to strengthen emergency response and firefighting capabilities across the state.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren flagged off the vehicles at the Central Training Institute of the Home Guards at Dhurwa.
According to officials, the compact fire tenders are designed to reach narrow lanes, congested markets and remote rural areas where conventional fire engines face operational constraints. The mist technology enables efficient firefighting by releasing water in fine droplets, helping control fires quickly while using less water.
Officials said the vehicles would enhance response time, reduce water consumption and assist in controlling smoke and heat during firefighting operations. The technology is also expected to minimise damage to property and improve rescue operations.
The 58 vehicles will be deployed across different districts to strengthen the state's disaster response mechanism and improve the reach of fire services in both urban and rural areas.
